Activity Description

Whilst staying at Red Chilli Rest Camp, why not book our specially adapted open-air vehicle for an exciting evening or night drive? With the aid of a spotlight, a night game drive affords better opportunities of experiencing lion and leopard hunting, as well as potentially other more nocturnal species, such as hyena, porcupine, genet and civet. We are one of just a handful of operators authorised to offer this service within the park and it is a privilege to experience the magic of the park once the sun has set and everyone else has headed back to camp. Please feel free to discuss specific arrangements with the camp management or your driver. Price includes driver and Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide.

16:45 Depart Red Chilli
You will meet up with your driver/guide at Red Chilli where you will receive your briefing before setting off on your game drive. Make sure you take along some warmer clothing for the cooler night air, as well as a cool box with snacks and drinks for the adventure!

After crossing the bridge over the River Nile you will collect your Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger and head into the Nile Delta area for your night drive.

18:00 Sundowners
If you wish to do so, you may stop in a scenic area for sundowners before continuing on your night game drive.

21:00 Arrive back at the camp
Depending on the sightings you encounter, you should be back in camp at around 21:00. Please make sure you order your dinner before departure so that the kitchen may prepare it ready for your return.

We recommend sitting around the camp fire and discussing your unique experience over a refreshing cold drink!
