Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary offers a secure place where rhino populations can be expanded by breeding and protected from human and non-human predators. The aim is to re-introduce these majestic creatures into Uganda’s national parks, whilst at the same time allowing the public to enjoy the chance to trek and observe white rhinos in close vicinity. The sanctuary also provides a safe haven for a healthy population of smaller game species and an abundance of wetland birdlife, including the rare and elusive shoebill stork.
This 2 day trip will allow you an afternoon walk in the bush, tracking and observing Uganda’s only White Rhino population, as well as the opportunity to experience the wetland wildlife on an early morning canoe safari experience.
